In the German Platform of Associations on the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union (CAP), the participating and signatory associations from agriculture, environmental protection, nature conservation, climate protection, consumer protection, animal welfare and development organisations draw up joint statements and demands on the CAP. Beyond this baseline, some of the individual organisations have and are pursuing more far-reaching and specific demands. Friends of the Earth Germany (Bund für Umwelt und Naturschutz Deutschland, BUND) in cooperation with the German family farmers’ association AbL (Arbeitsgemeinschaft bäuerliche Landwirtschaft) are responsible for coordinating the Platform of Associations.
The work of the Platform of Associations is funded by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection as part of the funding project "CAP from 2028: For a fundamental change in agriculture - rewarding concrete services for public goods" of the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (funding reference: 3524840800). It reflects the views and opinions of the funding recipient and does not necessarily reflect the views of the funding provider.
